Systane Balance from Alcon provides relief from dry eyes caused by meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) in an effective easy to use eye drop. Alcon’s unique patented formula works to restore tears to the eye, which have evaporated due to MGD whilst also keeping the moisture locked in to provide long-lasting relief that really works. It’s safe to apply Systane Balance as and when it’s needed throughout the day, meaning that you never have to put up with discomfort. If you wear contact lenses, you must ensure they are removed before you apply Systane Balance. It’s recommended by Alcon that you dispose of any remaining solution six months after opening.

Use

SYSTANE BALANCE moisturising eye drops are intended for treatment of dry eye symptoms and provide relief from burning and irritation caused by the eye’s dryness.

Instructions for use of SYSTANE BALANCE eye drops

SYSTANE BALANCE moisturising eye drops can be used all day, when needed. Drops can be used for treatment of dry eye caused by contact lenses, apply Systane eye drops before the application and after removal of contact lenses. Once the drop is in the eye, blink.

Systane® BALANCE cannot be used while wearing contact lenses. Systane® HYDRATION and Systane® ULTRA PRESERVATIVE-FREE are suitable for use with contact lenses.

Systane® BALANCE is a sterile white emulsion containing propylene glycol, hydroxypropyl guar, mineral oil, dimyristoyl phosphatidylglycerol, polyoxyl 40 stearate, sorbitan tristearate, boric acid, sorbitol, edetate disodium, and POLYQUAD™ (polyquaternium-1) 0.001% preservative and purified water. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.
